WISH Academy –ÂWith the 2023-2024 school year now in full swing, students have many great events, opportunities, and milestones to look forward to in the coming weeks. Here are some highlights from ASB and The Aviary.
One of Westchester’s most-awaited events is coming up this Saturday (September 23rd) with the Westchester Arts and Music block party, from 1 to 7 PM on Emerson Avenue at 80th Street. The event will feature live music, food trucks, local artists and vendors, schools, community groups, and more. Students will be helping to oversee the WISH Charter booth throughout the day.
As well, Hispanic Heritage Month lasts from September 15th to October 15th every year. This year, WISH has a number of events and presentations in the works in order to recognize the importance of Hispanic heritage in the U.S. and worldwide. More information is expected in the coming days.
Finally, the Homecoming Dance is one of the most awaited events of every school year, and ASB has announced that this year’s Dance will take place on the evening of Friday, October 20th. After a school-wide vote on theme ideas, students have decided that the Homecoming Dance will have a 1990s / 2000s theme. Information on rules, ticketing, and more are expected soon as planning continues to take shape, but students are advised to expect a great time.
